Kirkland Annex

Kirkland Annex, formerly Summer Run, originally opened its doors in 1984 to provide affordable apartment living for seniors sixty-two years of  age or older. Our charming 50 unit campus consists of studio, one-bedroom, and mobility-impaired units, all with complete kitchens. Our small, friendly community provides comfort, security, and socialization.

Housing Applicants must meet the annual income limits set forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). For those individuals who qualify, Federal Rent Subsidies are available. We have no costly application or buy-in fees. Kirkland Annex is an Equal Housing Opportunity senior living community.

We are located near Southeast 82nd Avenue and Interstate 205 in Portland, Oregon. Residents enjoy the convenience of easy access to public transportation, shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities. Kirkland Annex’s architectural design is comfortably inviting with several spacious common areas that offer ideal spots for quiet reading, intimate chats, or social gatherings. Our community room opens out onto a beautiful private building patio and garden area that residents especially enjoy during the spring and summer.

No more worries about expensive home maintenance and repairs, grass cutting, and difficult yard work. We’ll take care of all that for you! Kirkland Annex’s many amenities include laundry rooms, a garden area, an in-house library, clubs and activities, and planned trips throughout the year.

Kirkland Annex is a small retirement community that seniors are proud to call home. The wonderful thing about living at Kirkland Annex is the variety of choices.

The choice is yours – whether you feel like staying home and snuggling up in your favorite easy chair to read a good book, playing a game of cards, or taking a leisurely stroll – the choice is yours! Our residents and staff work together to create a place where seniors can enjoy retirement living to the fullest. We hope you’ll stop by so we can show you around!
